Privacy

What we keep

• Your account: email, name, profile photo, role (fellow, mentor or organizer) and, for fellows, your mentor. Your name, photo and role come from your fellowship application. You can change your name and photo on Profile.
• Your work: the videos you upload (every version), their thumbnails, links to where you posted them, and your mentor's feedback.
• Messages: chats, images sent in chats, reactions, and what you've read.
• Signing in: your password, if you set one, stored scrambled (hashed) so nobody can read it, and cookies that keep you signed in.

Who can see it

Nothing on DISPATCH is public. You have to be signed in to see anything.

• Everyone in the program sees names and profile photos, and the Shipped wall: approved videos that have been posted, with their links and who made them.
• A fellow's videos, earlier versions and feedback: that fellow, their mentor and the organizers.
• Private and group chats: only the people in them. Organizers can't read them.
• Announcements: everyone they're sent to.

The people who run the site can reach the database directly, and only do so to fix problems.

Services we use

These companies store or handle information only to run DISPATCH:

• Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage
• Vercel: hosting
• Airtable: the fellowship's application records, which the site reads to know who's in
• Resend: emails (sign-up codes, notifications, announcements)
• Google: Continue with Google, if you use it. Its button loads from Google on the Log in and Sign up pages.

We don't sell your information, show ads, or use analytics or tracking.

Continue with Google

If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your email address and confirms it's yours. We use it only to find your account, or to create it if you've been accepted. We don't keep anything else from your Google account, and we get no access to your Google account, contacts or files.

Cookies

Two kinds: one keeps you signed in, and one remembers light or dark mode. No advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and work while DISPATCH runs. If you ask, we'll delete your account and everything you uploaded.

Your choices

• Change your name and photo anytime on Profile.
• Email us to get a copy of your information, correct it, or delete your account and what you uploaded.

Age

DISPATCH is for accepted fellows, mentors and organizers, and isn't meant for anyone under 13.

Changes

If this page changes, we'll update the date at the top and tell everyone about big changes. See also our Terms.
